Intel level-zero

Shouldn't level-zero [1] (level-zero-loader) also be mentioned here ? Although I'm unsure about adding a whole section. Which makes me wonder if this page wouldn't be more practical if organized by vendor instead of by API ? Cvlc (talk) 15:36, 21 April 2025 (UTC)

Recommending rusticl

Latest comment: 2 November 20252 comments2 people in discussion

Is it really good to recommend generic rusticl (opencl-mesa) over platform-specific implementations? By benchmarks ROCm 7 (opencl-amdAUR) easily outperforms rusticl on all workloads except INT computation, and in my experience with BOINC OpenCL usually ROCm 7 complete work units faster than Mesa rusticl. On Intel their Compute Runtime holds a even larger lead compared to generic rusticl.

Fair point. I wanted to have casual users waste less time on fighting proprietary drivers or weird rocm support matrices, but yeah... maybe just stating that explicitly is better/ Arthur2e5 04:11, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
