Valkey not required on single server Nextcloud?

Latest comment: 9 August 20252 comments2 people in discussion

I saw your edit on Nextcloud wiki page, and I was wondering if 'Valkey is not required' is the correct way to put it. I suppose you meant that Redis can be used instead of Valkey on single-machine setup. Ashs (talk) 06:29, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

Valkey is a drop in for Redis (as wiki mentions). Both are used for shared/distributed caching and are beneficial if you are running multiple servers or an organization level setup. If you are running a private server, ACPu is more than enough.
