Abbott

Not to be confused with Abbot, a character in Mother 3.

Abbott is a character introduced in EarthBound Beginnings and is the assistant of the mayor of Podunk. He resides behind a desk at the topmost floor of the City Hall throughout the game. On the first visit he informs Ninten that he is not the mayor but his assistant. His only plot-related role is that he gives Ninten the Zoo Key as a reward for saving Pippi from the cemetery. Although he tells Ninten not to lose the key, he will give Ninten another should the player discard the key.

For clarity, the player cannot name a character Abbott.
