It's just code that a baby wont learn from
I bought CSS for Babies (same book here CSS for Babies) and JavaScript for Babies. I was very disappointed to see that there is only one page that provides a bit of explanation followed by a bunch of code. No attempt was made to make the material interesting or easy to understand for a baby.

I bought this book, plus the HTML and CSS for babies book for my friends baby shower since they are both computer engineers. They loved it! When I gifted it to them, their baby was about 3 months old, and she seems to be attracted to the book already at a young age. I believe this could be due to the stark color contrast that can be found on the pages. The bright colors on the white pages, must stand out to them. Also I am very glad these are board books so they can be taken throughout their childhood.

I'm actually teaching my son and using it for myself like a flash card. I feel special having this. My son is only 17 months but very intelligent and attention to detail. I also got him code a pillar which he loves and even reassembling them. So I think this is the perfect addition for use us overzealous parents. I think it's only really beneficial if the parent has an interests or can get the baby into it too. Either way I want more of these books!!

As with HTML for Babies and CSS for Babies, there are no pictures to keep a baby's interest, and the only fun thing about the book is the multiple colors used on the various elements and parameters.

I loved the idea, but actually reading through or flipping through the book is just silly. It's random chunks of front-end oriented JavaScript with no child-like explanations or whimsy. This probably took zero effort to create and it shows. Major disappointment when I was looking forward to having a conduit through which to share my work with my newborn.

I've bought pretty much all of the nerdy books for babies, and while they all range quite a bit in quality, they all at least try to present some information in a fun manner.

This series (HTML for Babies (Code Babies)/CSS for Babies (Code Babies)/Javascript for Babies (Code Babies)) does not try at all. They put two or three lines of poorly written code across two pages, so the whole book is maybe twenty lines of code. There's no explanation, story, pictures, or rhyme. They don't even bother to show what the output would be, probably because most of the output would likely just be an error message.

For the record, the C++ for Kids (Code Babies) book from the same publisher is actually pretty awesome.
