The Best Headphones Available For The Ps5. But They're Very Fragile. Be Very Intentional And Take Them Off Carefully Every Time You Use Them. If Not They Will Snap In Half.
Purchased in January. By May, the headband failed. Exchanged for a new headset. Within a month, the replacement is showing signs of the same issues.
Plastic separated at the seams where the inner suspension strap puts tension on the outer frame. Then it snapped completely on both sides. Sony support blamed normal wear and tear, not covered by warranty. Hard to accept after four months, then the same signs on the replacement.
Sound quality is excellent. Comfort is good. The headset sounds premium. The frame feels flimsy. Not built to last.
Connectivity is also inconsistent on PS5 Pro. The headset does not connect natively and requires the included USB-A PlayStation Link adapter. No USB-C adapter included. On PS5 Pro, that means using a rear USB-A port. My console is within 10 feet, sideways, direct line of sight. The adapter gets hot, then drops connection. Sony support blamed interference and placement.
For $150, not acceptable. A first-party Sony headset should work cleanly with Sony’s own PS5 Pro. Native support would be better. A USB-C adapter should also be included, but only as a backup for older consoles or third-party products.

I love these! They’re so comfy and the battery lasts forever! I use them with my Portal. I have zero issues. I can be a baby and whine about the dongle needing to be plugged into the PlayStation itself, but it actually isn’t a problem at all- I just hate dongles! But since it doesn’t plug into the Portal, it’s a nonissue!
I was concerned at first about the hanging charger, because I have kids who will climb anything (yes, even this tiny charger!), but that part is optional and you can plug them in normally by the power button as well with a USB C (or whatever the main usb is lettered as now.)
Amazing sound, mic quality is amazing, battery life amazing, materials are great (actually can’t stop touching the earmuff part), and I love the moving headband thing as you can see in my video
Also, I LOVE the mute light being on the mic and being able to easily see if I’m muted (but also being able to move it out of my sight.) The only thing I could complain about is, if I didn’t wear a bun on top of my head, these slip a lot on my hair when I’m wearing it down.
Coming from the original Default PS5 Pulse headset i had no idea what i had been missing with the Pulse Elite.
I have a very big head and the fit is pretty darn good after playing for hours no real discomfort and the sound dampening is noticeable once you put them on. The mic is crisp. The sound profile is a good touch and you can really hear a difference between the old headset and the pulse elite. Playing HellDivers 2 i heard new sounds the old headphones missed. I love the fact you can plug them in via usb c or hang them on the included charging hanger. This was a surprise feature that is a great way to keep your headset charged after a long gaming session just hang it up and next time you play its good to go.
The only cons are as follows.
Update on Mute Button. You can now use the mute button on the controller to mute the Headset, This was not available on the OG Headset.
Mute button is in a horrible place you end up rubbing the mic trying to find it and people know what your trying to do.
The dongle is extremely light like almost fake feeling compared to the Normal Pulse headset. It just feels cheap in a otherwise premium package.
Sound quality is perfect and even sounds better when I use them for music.
I bought this headset 4 months ago. They are now a broken mess that I've had to duct tape, because I'm not about to spend money on another headset.
Like others have posted here, my headset broke at the point of stress where the plastic meets the elastic band. If you have a big head like me, when you take off and put on the headset, you will need to pull them a bit to get them over your head. This natural act of taking off and putting on the headset causes stress at said point, which leads to fractures that turn into a full snap eventually. At that point, they are unusable unless you pull out the tape, or buy a new pair.
Now, either Sony has a bunch of chimps working in their engineering department, or they used an obviously flawed design with cheap material in a desperate push for more profit. You decide. If had paid 30 bucks for these, I wouldn't be as upset.
None of the other feature matter if your product will break due to normal use. For reference, I have a 30 year old N64 still in working condition, original controls, all the joysticks still work. I take care of my things.

I really love this product, sound and microphone sounds great and is very comfortable
But is so easy to snap, by just regular use
First came unglue right on both of the speakers
And after that is so easy to snap
Is a very good product, but it’s so fragile
The first one last me over six months, but this new one not even two weeks and the right side just snap
This headset is wonderful. It’s comfortable to wear, holds a charge for a decent amount of time, and performs great overall. One feature I really like is that you can play your game audio while also connecting your phone through Bluetooth at the same time. Being able to listen to music or take calls while gaming is a huge plus. Definitely a headset I’d recommend.
Excelente
