The Animal Bioscience (AB) is primarily for animal scientists and veterinarians who are interested in original and cutting-edge research results and reviews on animal-related aspects of the life sciences, with an emphasis placed on studies involving farm animals such as cattle, buffaloes, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, and poultry.

Its readership can be expanded to other positions, such as researchers interested in all areas of animal production and fundamental aspects of animal sciences: breeding and genetics, reproduction and physiology, nutrition, dairy and meat science, biotechnology, behavior, health, welfare, and livestock farming systems; students seeking to understand the recent trends in animal-related aspects of the life sciences; administrators, other health professionals, and policymakers.
