APOS Live Data Gateway (LDG) serves as a data connection and data transformation solution, facilitating live data connectivity and broadening data source possibilities for SAP Analytics Cloud and other SAP solutions. When integrated with CData Connect AI, users have the capability to construct semantic layer views for real-time access to Adobe Analytics data, enabling real-time analytics on Adobe Analytics in a manner akin to working with a relational database.
CData Connect AI offers a dedicated SQL Server interface for Adobe Analytics, enabling data querying directly from Adobe Analytics without the need to replicate data to a native database. With pre-optimized data processing capabilities, CData Connect AI efficiently directs all supported SQL operations, including filters and JOINs, directly to Adobe Analytics. This harnesses server-side processing to swiftly retrieve the requested Adobe Analytics data.
Connectivity to Adobe Analytics from APOS Live Data Gateway is made possible through CData Connect AI. To work with Adobe Analytics data from APOS Live Data Gateway, we start by creating and configuring a Adobe Analytics connection.
Adobe Analytics uses the OAuth authentication standard. To authenticate using OAuth, create an app to obtain the OAuthClientId, OAuthClientSecret, and CallbackURL connection properties. See the "Getting Started" section of the help documentation for a guide.
GlobalCompanyId is a required connection property. If you do not know your Global Company ID, you can find it in the request URL for the users/me endpoint on the Swagger UI. After logging into the Swagger UI Url, expand the users endpoint and then click the GET users/me button. Click the Try it out and Execute buttons. Note your Global Company ID shown in the Request URL immediately preceding the users/me endpoint.
Report Suite ID (RSID) is also a required connection property. In the Adobe Analytics UI, navigate to Admin -> Report Suites and you will get a list of your report suites along with their identifiers next to the name.
After setting the GlobalCompanyId, RSID and OAuth connection properties, you are ready to connect to Adobe Analytics.
π Configuring a connection (Salesforce is shown)When connecting to Connect AI through the REST API, the OData API, or the Virtual SQL Server, a Personal Access Token (PAT) is used to authenticate the connection to Connect AI. It is best practice to create a separate PAT for each service to maintain granularity of access.
With the connection configured and a PAT generated, you are ready to connect to Adobe Analytics data in the APOS Live Data Gateway.
After configuring the connection in CData Connect AI you are ready to connect to Adobe Analytics in the Live Data Gateway Admin tool and build a semantic layer view in the Live Data Gateway Web UI.
jdbc:sqlserver://tds.cdata.com:14333;databaseName=AdobeAnalytics1
At this point, we are ready to build our semantic layer view in the Live Data Gateway Web UI.
With the Semantic Layer View created, you are ready to access your Adobe Analytics data through the APOS Live Data Gateway, enabling real-time data connectivity to Adobe Analytics data from SAP Analytics Cloud and other SAP solutions.
