Apache OpenOffice Base is a versatile, free database tool that makes connecting and managing data easy. With CData ODBC Driver for Adobe Analytics, you can seamlessly integrate and query live Adobe Analytics data, bringing real-time insights directly into OpenOffice.
This guide simplifies the setup, showing you how to connect Adobe Analytics to OpenOffice Base so you can easily generate reports, analyze trends, and make informed decisions right within your familiar workspace.
Here is an overview of the steps:
To start, configure the DSN (Data Source Name) for Adobe Analytics data in your system using the CData ODBC Driver for Adobe Analytics. Download and install a 30-day free trial with all the features from here.
Once installed, launch the ODBC Data Source Administrator:
Once launched, double-click on the CData Adobe Analytics data Source and enter the required values to establish a connection:
Adobe Analytics uses the OAuth authentication standard. To authenticate using OAuth, create an app to obtain the OAuthClientId, OAuthClientSecret, and CallbackURL connection properties. See the "Getting Started" section of the help documentation for a guide.
GlobalCompanyId is a required connection property. If you do not know your Global Company ID, you can find it in the request URL for the users/me endpoint on the Swagger UI. After logging into the Swagger UI Url, expand the users endpoint and then click the GET users/me button. Click the Try it out and Execute buttons. Note your Global Company ID shown in the Request URL immediately preceding the users/me endpoint.
Report Suite ID (RSID) is also a required connection property. In the Adobe Analytics UI, navigate to Admin -> Report Suites and you will get a list of your report suites along with their identifiers next to the name.
After setting the GlobalCompanyId, RSID and OAuth connection properties, you are ready to connect to Adobe Analytics.
π Configuring a DSN (Salesforce is shown)Once you've set up the DSN, it's time to connect to it in OpenOffice Base and start querying data:
Your connection is now established β ready to query and analyze data seamlessly within OpenOffice Base.
After the database file is created and the connection is established, the table list will automatically display all available Adobe Analytics data objects.
That's it! You have now successfully established a connection to Adobe Analytics data in OpenOffice Base, with data readily available for analysis and reporting.
Now, let's generate a report based on your Adobe Analytics data data.
Your report is now created, drawing live data directly from Adobe Analytics data, and ready for analysis.
