Replicate Multiple Bullhorn CRM Accounts via the CData Sync CLI

CData Sync for Bullhorn CRM is a stand-alone application that provides solutions for a variety of replication scenarios such as replicating sandbox and production instances into your database. Both Sync for Windows and Sync for Java include a command-line interface (CLI) that makes it easy to manage multiple Bullhorn CRM connections. In this article we show how to use the CLI to replicate multiple Bullhorn CRM accounts.

Configure Bullhorn CRM Connections

You can save connection and email notification settings in an XML configuration file. To replicate multiple Bullhorn CRM accounts, use multiple configuration files. Below is an example configuration to replicate Bullhorn CRM to SQLite:

Begin by providing your Bullhorn CRM account credentials in the following:

• DataCenterCode: Set this to the data center code which responds to your data center. Refer to the list of data-center-specific Bullhorn API URLs: https://bullhorn.github.io/Data-Center-URLs/

If you are uncertain about your data center code, codes like CLS2, CLS21, etc. are cluster IDs that are contained in a user's browser URL (address bar) once they are logged in.

Example: https://cls21.bullhornstaffing.com/BullhornSTAFFING/MainFrame.jsp?#no-ba... indicates that the logged in user is on CLS21.

Authenticating with OAuth

Bullhorn CRM uses the OAuth 2.0 authentication standard. To authenticate using OAuth, create and configure a custom OAuth app. See the Help documentation for more information.

Configure Queries for Each Bullhorn CRM Instance

Sync enables you to control replication with standard SQL. The REPLICATE statement is a high-level command that caches and maintains a table in your database. You can define any SELECT query supported by the Bullhorn CRM API. The statement below caches and incrementally updates a table of Bullhorn CRM data:

REPLICATE Candidate;

You can specify a file containing the replication queries you want to use to update a particular database. Separate replication statements with semicolons. The following options are useful if you are replicating multiple Bullhorn CRM accounts into the same database:

You can use a different table prefix in the REPLICATE SELECT statement:

Alternatively, you can use a different schema:

Run Sync

After you have configured the connection strings and replication queries, you can run Sync with the following command-line options:
