The CData JDBC Driver for Codat enables you to use the data transformation components in CloverDX (formerly CloverETL) to work with Codat as sources. In this article, you will use the JDBC Driver for Codat to set up a simple transfer into a flat file. Start by setting the Profile connection property to the location of the Codat Profile on disk (e.g. C:\profiles\Codat.apip). Next, set the ProfileSettings connection property to the connection string for Codat (see below).
Log into the Codat Portal, navigate to Accounts > Profile > API Key to obtain your API key.
For assistance in constructing the JDBC URL, use the connection string designer built into the Codat JDBC Driver. Either double-click the JAR file or execute the jar file from the command-line.

Fill in the connection properties and copy the connection string to the clipboard.
