The CData Excel Add-In for Confluence provides formulas that can query Confluence data. The following three steps show how you can automate the following task: Search Confluence data for a user-specified value and then organize the results into an Excel spreadsheet.
The syntax of the CDATAQUERY formula is the following:
=CDATAQUERY(Query, [Connection], [Parameters], [ResultLocation]);
This formula requires three inputs:
Connection: Either the connection name, such as ConfluenceConnection1, or a connection string. The connection string consists of the required properties for connecting to Confluence data, separated by semicolons.
An API token is necessary for account authentication. To generate one, login to your Atlassian account and navigate to API tokens > Create API token. The generated token will be displayed.
