The CData JDBC Driver for Datadog enables you to use the data transformation components in CloverDX (formerly CloverETL) to work with Datadog as sources. In this article, you will use the JDBC Driver for Datadog to set up a simple transfer into a flat file.
Start by setting the Profile connection property to the location of the Datadog Profile on disk (e.g. C:\profiles\Datadog.apip). Next, set the ProfileSettings connection property to the connection string for Datadog (see below).
In your Datadog account, navigate to Organization Settings > API Keys to create an API Key, and Organization Settings > Application Keys to create an Application Key. Both are required.
For assistance in constructing the JDBC URL, use the connection string designer built into the Datadog JDBC Driver. Either double-click the JAR file or execute the jar file from the command-line.
java -jar cdata.jdbc.api.jar
Fill in the connection properties and copy the connection string to the clipboard.
👁 Using the built-in connection string designer to generate a JDBC URL (Salesforce is shown.)A typical JDBC URL is below:
jdbc:api:Profile=C:\profiles\Datadog.apip;ProfileSettings='APIKey=your_api_key;ApplicationKey=your_app_key';
SELECT FilterId, Name FROM APMRetentionFilters WHERE IsEnabled = 'true'
