The CData JDBC Driver for Discord enables you to use the data transformation components in CloverDX (formerly CloverETL) to work with Discord as sources. In this article, you will use the JDBC Driver for Discord to set up a simple transfer into a flat file.
Start by setting the Profile connection property to the location of the Discord Profile on disk (e.g. C:\profiles\Discord.apip). Next, set the ProfileSettings connection property to the connection string for Discord (see below).
Visit the Discord Developer Portal, create or select an application, and navigate to the OAuth2 section to obtain your Client ID and Client Secret.
For assistance in constructing the JDBC URL, use the connection string designer built into the Discord JDBC Driver. Either double-click the JAR file or execute the jar file from the command-line.
java -jar cdata.jdbc.api.jar
Fill in the connection properties and copy the connection string to the clipboard.
👁 Using the built-in connection string designer to generate a JDBC URL (Salesforce is shown.)A typical JDBC URL is below:
jdbc:api:Profile=C:\profiles\Discord.apip;Authscheme=OAuth;OAuthClientId=your_client_id;OAuthClientSecret=your_client_secret;CallbackUrl=your_callback_url;
SELECT Id, Name FROM Application WHERE IsVerified = 'true'
