Informatica provides a powerful, elegant means of transporting and transforming your data. By utilizing the CData JDBC Driver for HCL Domino, you are gaining access to a driver based on industry-proven standards that integrates seamlessly with Informatica's powerful data transportation and manipulation features. This tutorial shows how to transfer and browse HCL Domino data in Informatica PowerCenter.
To deploy the driver to the Informatica PowerCenter server, copy the CData JAR and .lic file, located in the lib subfolder in the installation directory, to the following folder: Informatica-installation-directory\services\shared\jars\thirdparty.
To work with HCL Domino data in the Developer tool, you will need to copy the CData JAR and .lic file, located in the lib subfolder in the installation directory, into the following folders:
Follow the steps below to connect from Informatica Developer:
cdata.jdbc.domino.DominoDriver
To connect to Domino data, set the following properties:
Domino supports authenticating via login credentials or an Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) OAuth application:
To authenticate with login credentials, set the following properties:
The driver uses the login credentials to automatically perform an OAuth token exchange.
This authentication method uses Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) as an IdP to obtain a JWT token. You need to create a custom OAuth application in Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and configure it as an IdP. To do so, follow the instructions in the Help documentation. Then set the following properties:
The tenant ID is the same as the directory ID shown in the Azure Portal's Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) > Properties page.
For assistance in constructing the JDBC URL, use the connection string designer built into the HCL Domino JDBC Driver. Either double-click the JAR file or execute the jar file from the command-line.
java -jar cdata.jdbc.domino.jar
Fill in the connection properties and copy the connection string to the clipboard.
๐ Using the built-in connection string designer to generate a JDBC URL (Salesforce is shown.)A typical connection string is below:
jdbc:domino:Server=https://domino.corp.com;AuthScheme=OAuthPassword;User=my_domino_user;Password=my_domino_password;
After you have added the driver JAR to the classpath and created a JDBC connection, you can now access HCL Domino entities in Informatica. Follow the steps below to connect to HCL Domino and browse HCL Domino tables:
You can now browse HCL Domino tables in the Data Viewer: Right-click the node for the table and then click Open. On the Data Viewer view, click Run.

Follow the steps below to add the HCL Domino source to a mapping:
Follow the steps below to map HCL Domino columns to a flat file:
To transfer HCL Domino data, right-click in the workspace and then click Run Mapping.
