UiPath is a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platform with rich features and an easy-to-use UI that enables non-developers to create process automation. By using UiPath Studio, you can build an RPA program just like drawing a diagram. With the CData ODBC Driver for HCL Domino, users can embed HCL Domino data in the workflow.
This article explains how to use the HCL Domino ODBC Driver in UiPath Studio to create an RPA program that accesses HCL Domino data.
π Using the CData ODBC Data Sources in UiPathIf you have not already, first specify connection properties in an ODBC DSN (data source name). This is the last step of the driver installation. You can use the Microsoft ODBC Data Source Administrator to create and configure ODBC DSNs.
To connect to Domino data, set the following properties:
Domino supports authenticating via login credentials or an Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) OAuth application:
To authenticate with login credentials, set the following properties:
The driver uses the login credentials to automatically perform an OAuth token exchange.
This authentication method uses Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) as an IdP to obtain a JWT token. You need to create a custom OAuth application in Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and configure it as an IdP. To do so, follow the instructions in the Help documentation. Then set the following properties:
The tenant ID is the same as the directory ID shown in the Azure Portal's Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) > Properties page.
Now you are ready to use HCL Domino data ODBC DSN in UiPath Studio with the following steps.
With the connection configured, we are ready to query HCL Domino data in our RPA.
With the Connection and Execute Query activities configured, we are ready to add a Write CSV activity to the Flowchart to replicate the HCL Domino data.
If they are not already connected, connect each Activity that you created to complete the RPA project for extracting HCL Domino data and exporting it to CSV.
π Connect each Activity in the FlowchartClick Run to extract HCL Domino data and create a CSV file.

π HCL Domino IconThe HCL Domino ODBC Driver is a powerful tool that allows you to connect with live data from HCL Domino, directly from any applications that support ODBC connectivity.
Access HCL Domino data like you would a database - read, write, and update HCL Domino FALSE, etc. through a standard ODBC Driver interface.
