Reveal, an offering from Infragistics, serves as a data visualization tool that seamlessly integrates with CData Connect AI. Together, they empower users to deliver dynamic dashboards using real-time data from a diverse range of data sources, including Elasticsearch data. In this article, we will guide you through the process of connecting to Elasticsearch via Connect AI and subsequently linking Connect AI with Infragistics Reveal to construct a straightforward dashboard.
Accessing and integrating live data from Elasticsearch has never been easier with CData. Customers rely on CData connectivity to:
Users frequently integrate Elasticsearch data with analytics tools such as Crystal Reports, Power BI, and Excel, and leverage our tools to enable a single, federated access layer to all of their data sources, including Elasticsearch.

To work with live Elasticsearch data in Infragistics Reveal, we need to connect to Elasticsearch from Connect AI, provide user access to the connection, and create a Workspace for the Elasticsearch data.
CData Connect AI uses a straightforward, point-and-click interface to connect to data sources.
Set the Server and Port connection properties to connect. To authenticate, set the User and Password properties, PKI (public key infrastructure) properties, or both. To use PKI, set the SSLClientCert, SSLClientCertType, SSLClientCertSubject, and SSLClientCertPassword properties.
The data provider uses X-Pack Security for TLS/SSL and authentication. To connect over TLS/SSL, prefix the Server value with 'https://'. Note: TLS/SSL and client authentication must be enabled on X-Pack to use PKI.
Once the data provider is connected, X-Pack will then perform user authentication and grant role permissions based on the realms you have configured.
π Configuring a connection (Salesforce is shown)When connecting to Connect AI through the REST API, the OData API, or the Virtual SQL Server, a Personal Access Token (PAT) is used to authenticate the connection to Connect AI. It is best practice to create a separate PAT for each service to maintain granularity of access.
After connecting to Elasticsearch, create a workspace for your desired table(s).
With the connection, PAT, and Workspace configured, you are ready to connect to Elasticsearch data from Infragistics Reveal.
With Connect AI configured, we can visualize Elasticsearch data in Reveal.
At this point, you have created a simple dashboard from live Elasticsearch data.
