Nintex Workflow Cloud is a cloud-based platform where you can design workflows to automate simple or complex processes using drag-and-drop interactions β without writing any code. When paired with CData Connect AI, you get instant, cloud-to-cloud access to Oracle Eloqua data for business applications. This article shows how to create a virtual database for Oracle Eloqua in Connect AI and build a simple workflow from Oracle Eloqua data in Nintex.
CData Connect AI provides a pure, cloud-to-cloud interface for Oracle Eloqua, allowing you to build workflows from live Oracle Eloqua data in Nintex Workflow Cloud β without replicating the data to a natively supported database. Nintex allows you to access data directly using SQL queries. Using optimized data processing out of the box, CData Connect AI pushes all supported SQL operations (filters, JOINs, etc.) directly to Oracle Eloqua, leveraging server-side processing to quickly return the requested Oracle Eloqua data.
Connectivity to Oracle Eloqua from Nintex is made possible through CData Connect AI. To work with Oracle Eloqua data from Nintex, we start by creating and configuring a Oracle Eloqua connection.
There are two authentication methods available for connecting to Oracle Eloqua: Login and OAuth. The Login method requires you to have the Company, User, and Password of the user.
If you do not have access to the username and password or do not wish to require them, you can use OAuth authentication. OAuth is better suited for allowing other users to access their own data. Using login credentials is better suited for accessing your own data.
π Configuring a connection (Salesforce is shown)When connecting to Connect AI through the REST API, the OData API, or the Virtual SQL Server, a Personal Access Token (PAT) is used to authenticate the connection to Connect AI. It is best practice to create a separate PAT for each service to maintain granularity of access.
With the connection configured and a PAT generated, you are ready to connect to Oracle Eloqua data from Nintex Workflow Cloud.
The steps below outline creating a new connection to Oracle Eloqua data from Nintex (via Connect AI).
With the connection to CData Connect AI configured, we are ready to build a simple workflow to access Oracle Eloqua data. Start by clicking the "Create workflow" button.
Once you configure the actions, click "Save," name the Workflow, and click "Save" again. You now have a simple workflow that will query Oracle Eloqua using SQL and sand an email with the results.
