Always-on applications rely on automatic failover capabilities and real-time access to data. CData Sync for Oracle Eloqua Reporting integrates live Oracle Eloqua Reporting data into your mirrored databases, always-on cloud databases, and other databases such as your reporting server: Automatically synchronize with remote Oracle Eloqua Reporting data from Windows or any machine running Java.
You can use Sync's command-line interface (CLI) to easily control almost all aspects of the replication. You can use the CLI to replicate Oracle Eloqua Reporting data to one or many databases without any need to change your configuration.
You can save connection strings and other settings like email notifications in XML configuration files.
The following example shows how to replicate to SQLite.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <CDataSync><DatabaseType>SQLite</DatabaseType> <DatabaseProvider>System.Data.SQLite</DatabaseProvider> <ConnectionString>AuthScheme=Basic;User=user;Password=password;Company=MyCompany;</ConnectionString> <ReplicateAll>False</ReplicateAll> <NotificationUserName></NotificationUserName> <DatabaseConnectionString>Data Source=C:\my.db</DatabaseConnectionString> <TaskSchedulerStartTime>09:51</TaskSchedulerStartTime> <TaskSchedulerInterval>Never</TaskSchedulerInterval> </CDataSync>
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <CDataSync><DatabaseType>SQLite</DatabaseType><DatabaseProvider>org.sqlite.JDBC</DatabaseProvider> <ConnectionString>AuthScheme=Basic;User=user;Password=password;Company=MyCompany;</ConnectionString> <ReplicateAll>False</ReplicateAll> <NotificationUserName></NotificationUserName> <DatabaseConnectionString>Data Source=C:\my.db</DatabaseConnectionString> </CDataSync>
Oracle Eloqua Reporting supports the following authentication methods:
To perform authentication with a user and password, specify these properties:
To authenticate with the OAuth code grant flow, you must set AuthScheme to OAuth and create a custom OAuth application. For information about how to create a custom OAuth application, see the Help documentation.
Then set the following properties:
When you connect, the driver opens Oracle Eloqua Reporting's OAuth endpoint in your default browser. Log in and grant permissions to the application. When the access token expires, the driver refreshes it automatically.
With the OAuth password grant flow, you can use your OAuth application's credentials alongside your user credentials to authenticate without the need to grant permission manually via a browser prompt. You must create an OAuth app (see the Help documentation) to use this authentication method.
Set the following properties:
Sync enables you to control replication with standard SQL. The REPLICATE statement is a high-level command that caches and maintains a table in your database. You can define any SELECT query supported by the Oracle Eloqua Reporting API. The statement below caches and incrementally updates a table of Oracle Eloqua Reporting data:
REPLICATE ;
You can specify a file containing the replication queries. This enables you to use the same replication queries to replicate to several databases.
After you have configured the connection strings and replication queries, you can run Sync with the following command-line options:
OracleEloquaReportingSync.exe -g MySQLiteConfig.xml -f OracleEloquaReportingSync.sql
java -Xbootclasspath/p:c:\sqlitejdbc.jar -jar OracleEloquaReportingSync.jar -g MySQLiteConfig.xml -f OracleEloquaReportingSync.sql
