Workato is a cloud-based automation platform that helps businesses integrate applications and automate workflows. This article shows how to connect to Google Calendar and build workflows with live Google Calendar data in Workato.
CData Connect AI provides a pure SQL Server, cloud-to-cloud interface for Google Calendar, allowing you to easily build visualizations from live Google Calendar data in Workato. As you build automations, Workato generates SQL queries to gather data. Using optimized data processing out of the box, CData Connect AI pushes all supported SQL operations (filters, JOINs, etc) directly to Google Calendar, leveraging server-side processing to quickly return Google Calendar data.
Connectivity to Google Calendar from Workato is made possible through CData Connect AI. To work with Google Calendar data from Workato, we start by creating and configuring a Google Calendar connection.
You can connect to Google APIs on behalf of individual users or on behalf of a domain. Google uses the OAuth authentication standard. See the "Getting Started" section of the help documentation for a guide.
π Configuring a connection (Salesforce is shown)When connecting to Connect AI through the REST API, the OData API, or the Virtual SQL Server, a Personal Access Token (PAT) is used to authenticate the connection to Connect AI. It is best practice to create a separate PAT for each service to maintain granularity of access.
With the connection configured and a PAT generated, you are ready to connect to Google Calendar data from Workato.
To establish a connection from Workato to the CData Connect AI Virtual SQL Server, follow these steps.
