The CData JDBC driver for Sage Intacct data enables access to live data from dashboards and reports. This article shows how to connect to Sage Intacct data as a JDBC data source and publish reports based on Sage Intacct data in Pentaho.
CData provides the easiest way to access and integrate live data from Sage Intact. Customers use CData connectivity to:
Users frequently integrate Sage Intact with analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Excel, and leverage our tools to replicate Workday data to databases or data warehouses.
To learn about how other customers are using CData's Sage Intacct solutions, check out our blog: Drivers in Focus: Accounting Connectivity.
Create a new data source with the driver by clicking Data -> Add Data Source -> Advanced -> JDBC (Custom) and then creating a new Sage Intacct connection. In the resulting dialog, configure the connection properties as shown below.
Custom Connection URL property: Enter the JDBC URL. This starts with jdbc:sageintacct: and is followed by a semicolon-separated list of connection properties.
To connect using the Login method, the following connection properties are required: User, Password, CompanyId, SenderId and SenderPassword.
User, Password, and CompanyId are the credentials for the account you wish to connect to.
SenderId and SenderPassword are the Web Services credentials assigned to you by Sage Intacct.
For assistance in constructing the JDBC URL, use the connection string designer built into the Sage Intacct JDBC Driver. Either double-click the JAR file or execute the jar file from the command-line.
java -jar cdata.jdbc.sageintacct.jar
Fill in the connection properties and copy the connection string to the clipboard.
๐ Using the built-in connection string designer to generate a JDBC URL (Salesforce is shown.)When you configure the JDBC URL, you may also want to set the Max Rows connection property. This will limit the number of rows returned, which is especially helpful for improving performance when designing reports and visualizations.
Below is a typical JDBC URL:
jdbc:sageintacct:User=myusername;CompanyId=TestCompany;Password=mypassword;SenderId=Test;SenderPassword=abcde123;
You are now ready to create a report with Sage Intacct data.
Add the Sage Intacct source to your report: Click Data -> Add Data Source -> JDBC and select the data source.
Configure the query. This article uses the one below:
SELECT Name, TotalDue FROM Customer๐ The query to retrieve data, specified in the JDBC data source configuration wizard. (Salesforce is shown.)
