Embarcadero RAD Studio provides a development environment for Delphi and C++Builder applications. With the CData ODBC Driver for Sage Intacct, you gain access to live Sage Intacct data within RAD Studio, abstracting the data into tables, views, and stored procedures that can be used to retrieve and update Sage Intacct data. This article will walk through connecting to Sage Intacct and creating a simple VCL application with the Form Designer.
CData provides the easiest way to access and integrate live data from Sage Intact. Customers use CData connectivity to:
Users frequently integrate Sage Intact with analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Excel, and leverage our tools to replicate Workday data to databases or data warehouses.

If you have not already, first specify connection properties in an ODBC DSN (data source name). This is the last step of the driver installation. You can use the Microsoft ODBC Data Source Administrator to create and configure ODBC DSNs.
To connect using the Login method, the following connection properties are required: User, Password, CompanyId, SenderId and SenderPassword.
User, Password, and CompanyId are the credentials for the account you wish to connect to.
SenderId and SenderPassword are the Web Services credentials assigned to you by Sage Intacct.
You can then follow the steps below to use the Data Explorer to create a FireDAC connection to Sage Intacct data.
Follow the procedure below to start executing queries to Sage Intacct data from a simple VCL application that displays the results of a query in a grid.
Drop a TFDConnection component onto the form and set the following properties:
Drop a TFDQuery component onto the form and set the properties below:
SQL: Click the button in the SQL property and enter a query. For example:
SELECT Name, TotalDue FROM Customer
Drop a TDataSource component onto the form and set the following property:
Drop a TDBGrid control onto the form and set the following property:
You now have an executable application that displays the results of the SQL Query set in the TFDQuery object.

👁 Sage Intacct IconThe Sage Intacct ODBC Driver is a powerful tool that allows you to connect with live data from Sage Intacct, directly from any applications that support ODBC connectivity.
Access Sage Intacct data like you would a database - read, write, and update Sage Intacct Contacts, Invoices, Transactions, Vendors, etc. through a standard ODBC Driver interface.
