Connectivity to Jira from OutSystems is made possible through CData Connect AI. To work with Jira data from OutSystems, we start by creating and configuring a Jira connection.
To connect to JIRA, provide the User and Password. Additionally, provide the Url; for example, https://yoursitename.atlassian.net.
π Configuring a connection (Salesforce is shown)When connecting to Connect AI through the REST API, the OData API, or the Virtual SQL Server, a Personal Access Token (PAT) is used to authenticate the connection to Connect AI. It is best practice to create a separate PAT for each service to maintain granularity of access.
With the connection configured and a PAT generated, you are ready to connect to Jira data from OutSystems.
The steps below outline connecting to CData Connect AI from OutSystems to create a new Jira database connection.
Once you create the database connection for Jira, you can create an extension that maps the tables or views to OutSystems entities. If you have not already done so, create an Application in Service Studio.
At this point, you can access and work with Jira data just like you would with the standard OutSystems entities.
