This article shows how you can easily integrate the CData JDBC driver for Jira Service Management into your processes in RapidMiner. This article uses the CData JDBC Driver for Jira Service Management to transfer Jira Service Management data to a process in RapidMiner.
You can follow the procedure below to establish a JDBC connection to Jira Service Management:
jdbc:jiraservicedesk:
cdata.jdbc.jiraservicedesk.JiraServiceDeskDriverπ The JDBC driver configuration. (Salesforce is shown.)
You can establish a connection to any Jira Service Desk Cloud account or Server instance.
To connect to a Cloud account, you'll first need to retrieve an APIToken. To generate one, log in to your Atlassian account and navigate to API tokens > Create API token. The generated token will be displayed.
Supply the following to connect to data:
To authenticate with a service account, supply the following connection properties:
Note: Password has been deprecated for connecting to a Cloud Account and is now used only to connect to a Server Instance.
By default, the connector only surfaces system fields. To access the custom fields for Issues, set IncludeCustomFields.
For assistance in constructing the JDBC URL, use the connection string designer built into the Jira Service Management JDBC Driver. Either double-click the JAR file or execute the jar file from the command-line.
java -jar cdata.jdbc.jiraservicedesk.jar
Fill in the connection properties and copy the connection string to the clipboard.
π Using the built-in connection string designer to generate a JDBC URL (Salesforce is shown.)A typical connection string is below:
ApiKey=myApiKey;User=MyUser;InitiateOAuth=GETANDREFRESH;
You can now use your Jira Service Management connection with the various RapidMiner operators in your process. To retrieve Jira Service Management data, drag the Retrieve operator from the Operators view.
π A Retrieve operation to select data. (Salesforce is shown.)
With the Retrieve operator selected, you can then define which table to retrieve in the Parameters view by clicking the folder icon next to the "repository entry." In the resulting Repository Browser, you can expand your connection node to select the desired example set.
Finally, wire the output to the Retrieve process to a result, and run the process to see the Jira Service Management data.
