Microsoft Azure Data Factory (ADF) is a completely managed, serverless data integration service. When combined with CData Connect AI, ADF enables immediate cloud-to-cloud access to Kintone data within data flows. This article outlines the process of connecting to Kintone through Connect AI and accessing Kintone data within ADF.
CData Connect AI offers a cloud-to-cloud interface tailored for Kintone, granting you the ability to access live data from Kintone data within Azure Data Factory without the need for data replication to a natively supported database. Equipped with optimized data processing capabilities by default, CData Connect AI seamlessly channels all supported SQL operations, including filters and JOINs, directly to Kintone. This harnesses server-side processing to expedite the retrieval of the desired Kintone data.
Connectivity to Kintone from Azure Data Factory is made possible through CData Connect AI. To work with Kintone data from Azure Data Factory, we start by creating and configuring a Kintone connection.

If the basic authentication security feature is set on the domain, supply the additional login credentials with BasicAuthUser and BasicAuthPassword. Basic authentication requires these credentials in addition to User and Password.
Instead of basic authentication, you can specify a client certificate to authenticate. Set SSLClientCert, SSLClientCertType, SSLClientCertSubject, and SSLClientCertPassword. Additionally, set User and Password to your login credentials.
π Configuring a connection (Salesforce is shown)When connecting to Connect AI through the REST API, the OData API, or the Virtual SQL Server, a Personal Access Token (PAT) is used to authenticate the connection to Connect AI. It is best practice to create a separate PAT for each service to maintain granularity of access.
With the connection configured and a PAT generated, you are ready to connect to Kintone data from Azure Data Factory.
