The CData Excel Add-In for MYOB AccountRight provides formulas that can edit, save, and delete MYOB AccountRight data. The following three steps show how you can automate the following task: Search MYOB AccountRight data for a user-specified value and then organize the results into an Excel spreadsheet.
The syntax of the CDATAQUERY formula is the following:
=CDATAQUERY(Query, [Connection], [Parameters], [ResultLocation]);
This formula requires three inputs:
Connection: Either the connection name, such as MYOBConnection1, or a connection string. The connection string consists of the required properties for connecting to MYOB AccountRight data, separated by semicolons.
These properties are required when connecting to a company file (both for Cloud and On-Premise instances).
To connect to a cloud instance of MYOB, you can use the embedded OAuth credentials or create an OAuth app with MYOB. This process is detailed in the Help documentation.
When connecting to an on-premise instance, set the following connection property in addition to those above:
