The CData ODBC driver for MYOB AccountRight enables access to live data from MYOB AccountRight under the ODBC standard, allowing you work with MYOB AccountRight data in a wide variety of BI, reporting, and ETL tools and directly, using familiar SQL queries. This article shows how to connect to MYOB AccountRight data as a generic ODBC Data Provider and create charts, reports, and dashboards based on MYOB AccountRight data in DBxtra.
These properties are required when connecting to a company file (both for Cloud and On-Premise instances).
To connect to a cloud instance of MYOB, you can use the embedded OAuth credentials or create an OAuth app with MYOB. This process is detailed in the Help documentation.
When connecting to an on-premise instance, set the following connection property in addition to those above:
When you configure the DSN, you may also want to set the Max Rows connection property. This will limit the number of rows returned, which is especially helpful for improving performance when designing reports and visualizations.
You are now ready to create a dashboard with MYOB AccountRight data.
With a new Dashboard created, you are ready to begin analysis of MYOB AccountRight data. Thanks to the ODBC Driver for MYOB AccountRight, you can refresh the Dashboard and immediately see any changes made at the source. In the same way, you can create and view Reports with live, up-to-date MYOB AccountRight data.
