Connect to NetSuite from Asprova with CData ODBC Driver for NetSuite

This article shows how to connect faster to NetSuite data from Asprova.

The CData ODBC driver for NetSuite enables you to access NetSuite data from Asprova. In this article, you will import NetSuite data into item data in Asprova as an example.

About NetSuite Data Integration

CData provides the easiest way to access and integrate live data from Oracle NetSuite. Customers use CData connectivity to:

  • Access all editions of NetSuite, including Standard, CRM, and OneWorld.
  • Connect with all versions of the SuiteTalk API (SOAP-based) and SuiteQL, which functions like SQL, enabling easier data querying and manipulation.
  • Access predefined and custom reports through support for Saved Searches.
  • Securely authenticate with Token-based and OAuth 2.0, ensuring compatibility and security for all use cases.
  • Use SQL stored procedures to perform functional actions like uploading or downloading files, attaching or detaching records or relationships, retrieving roles, getting extra table or column info, getting job results, and more.

Customers use CData solutions to access live NetSuite data from their preferred analytics tools, Power BI and Excel. They also use CData's solutions to integrate their NetSuite data into comprehensive databases and data warehouse using CData Sync directly or leveraging CData's compatibility with other applications like Azure Data Factory. CData also helps Oracle NetSuite customers easily write apps that can pull data from and push data to NetSuite, allowing organizations to integrate data from other sources with NetSuite.

Getting Started


Asprova setting

  1. Click File -> Data I/O Settings.

  2. Double click the header of Item and open the Edit I/O dialog.

  3. Select "No" from the RDB transaction combo box and close the dialog.

Data driver setting

  1. Select "OLE DB" from combo box in "Data source" column.

  2. Click button in Folder/database column and open the Data Link Property dialog. Select "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers" from the list of data provider.

  3. Select the Connection tab. Check "Use data source name" and select "CData NetSuite Source" from DSN combo box.

  4. Click the Test Connection button and make sure you see the message "Connection successful".

Schema setting

  1. Click the button in "External table name" column and open the Table List dialog. Make sure tables in NetSuite are listed in the dialog.

  2. Click the button in "Field mapping" column and open the Item-Field Mapping dialog.

  3. Open the context menu in the space between tables and click Delete All. Link corresponding fields by dragging mouse.

  4. Click File > Import and data will be imported into Asprova.

Check data

Click Table View > Item. Be sure you can see the item data stored in NetSuite.
