Drop the CData ODBC Driver for NetSuite into your LAMP or WAMP stack to build NetSuite-connected Web applications. This article shows how to use PHP's ODBC built-in functions to connect to NetSuite data, execute queries, and output the results.
CData provides the easiest way to access and integrate live data from Oracle NetSuite. Customers use CData connectivity to:
Customers use CData solutions to access live NetSuite data from their preferred analytics tools, Power BI and Excel. They also use CData's solutions to integrate their NetSuite data into comprehensive databases and data warehouse using CData Sync directly or leveraging CData's compatibility with other applications like Azure Data Factory. CData also helps Oracle NetSuite customers easily write apps that can pull data from and push data to NetSuite, allowing organizations to integrate data from other sources with NetSuite.

If you have not already, first specify connection properties in an ODBC DSN (data source name). This is the last step of the driver installation. You can use the Microsoft ODBC Data Source Administrator to create and configure ODBC DSNs.
The User and Password properties, under the Authentication section, must be set to valid NetSuite user credentials. In addition, the AccountId must be set to the ID of a company account that can be used by the specified User. The RoleId can be optionally specified to log in the user with limited permissions.
See the "Getting Started" chapter of the help documentation for more information on connecting to NetSuite.
Open the connection to NetSuite by calling the or methods. To close connections, use or .
$conn = odbc_connect("CData ODBC NetSuite Source","user","password");
Connections opened with are closed when the script ends. Connections opened with the method are still open after the script ends. This enables other scripts to share that connection when they connect with the same credentials. By sharing connections among your scripts, you can save system resources, and queries execute faster.
$conn = odbc_pconnect("CData ODBC NetSuite Source","user","password");
...
odbc_close($conn); //persistent connection must be closed explicitly
Create prepared statements and parameterized queries with the function.
$query = odbc_prepare($conn, "SELECT * FROM SalesOrder WHERE Class_Name = ?");
Execute prepared statements with .
$conn = odbc_connect("CData ODBC NetSuite Source","user","password");
$query = odbc_prepare($conn, "SELECT * FROM SalesOrder WHERE Class_Name = ?");
$success = odbc_execute($query, array('Furniture : Office'));
Execute nonparameterized queries with .
$conn = odbc_connect("CData ODBC NetSuite Source","user","password");
$query = odbc_exec($conn, "SELECT Customer.FirstName AS CustomerName, SalesOrder.Total AS SalesOrderTotal FROM SalesOrder, Customer");
Access a row in the result set as an array with the function.
$conn = odbc_connect("CData ODBC NetSuite data Source","user","password");
$query = odbc_exec($conn, "SELECT Customer.FirstName AS CustomerName, SalesOrder.Total AS SalesOrderTotal FROM SalesOrder, Customer");
while($row = odbc_fetch_array($query)){
echo $row["CustomerName"] . "\n";
}
Display the result set in an HTML table with the function.
$conn = odbc_connect("CData ODBC NetSuite data Source","user","password");
$query = odbc_prepare($conn, "SELECT * FROM SalesOrder WHERE Class_Name = ?");
$success = odbc_execute($query, array('Furniture : Office'));
if($success)
odbc_result_all($query);
You will find complete information on the driver's supported SQL in the help documentation. The code examples above are NetSuite-specific adaptations of the PHP community documentation for all ODBC functions.

👁 NetSuite IconThe NetSuite ODBC Driver is a powerful tool that allows you to connect with live NetSuite data, directly from any applications that support ODBC connectivity.
Access NetSuite like you would a database - read, write, and update Leads, Contacts, Opportunities, Accounts, etc. through a standard ODBC Driver interface.
