The CData ODBC Driver for NetSuite enables you to access live NetSuite data in workflow automation tools like Power Automate. This article shows how to integrate NetSuite data into a simple workflow, moving NetSuite data into a CSV file.
Through optimized data processing, CData ODBC Drivers offer unmatched performance for interacting with live NetSuite data in Microsoft Power Automate. When you issue complex SQL queries from Power Automate to NetSuite, the driver pushes supported SQL operations, like filters and aggregations, directly to NetSuite and utilizes the embedded SQL engine to process unsupported operations client-side (e.g. SQL functions and JOIN operations).
CData provides the easiest way to access and integrate live data from Oracle NetSuite. Customers use CData connectivity to:
Customers use CData solutions to access live NetSuite data from their preferred analytics tools, Power BI and Excel. They also use CData's solutions to integrate their NetSuite data into comprehensive databases and data warehouse using CData Sync directly or leveraging CData's compatibility with other applications like Azure Data Factory. CData also helps Oracle NetSuite customers easily write apps that can pull data from and push data to NetSuite, allowing organizations to integrate data from other sources with NetSuite.

If you have not already, first specify connection properties in an ODBC DSN (data source name). This is the last step of the driver installation. You can use the Microsoft ODBC Data Source Administrator to create and configure ODBC DSNs.
The User and Password properties, under the Authentication section, must be set to valid NetSuite user credentials. In addition, the AccountId must be set to the ID of a company account that can be used by the specified User. The RoleId can be optionally specified to log in the user with limited permissions.
See the "Getting Started" chapter of the help documentation for more information on connecting to NetSuite.
When you configure the DSN, you may also want to set the Max Rows connection property. This will limit the number of rows returned, which is especially helpful for improving performance when designing workflows.
After configuring the DSN for NetSuite, you are ready to integrate NetSuite data into your Power Automate workflows. Open Microsoft Power Automate, add a new flow, and name the flow.
π A new flow in Power AutomateIn the flow editor, you can add the actions to connect to NetSuite, query NetSuite using SQL, and write the query results to a CSV document.
Add an "Open SQL connection" action (Actions -> Database) and configure the properties.
After configuring the action, click Save.
π A configured 'Open SQL connection' actionAdd an "Execute SQL statement" action (Actions -> Database) and configure the properties.
After configuring the action, click Save.
π A configured 'Execute SQL statement' actionAdd a "Write to CSV file" action (Actions -> File) and configure the properties.
After configuring the action, click Save.
π A configured 'Write to CSV file' actionAdd a "Close SQL connection" action (Actions -> Database) and configure the properties.
After configuring the action, click Save.
π A configured 'Close SQL connection' actionOnce you have configured all the actions for the flow, click the disk icon to save the flow. Click the play icon to run the flow.
π A fully configured workflowNow you have a workflow to move NetSuite data into a CSV file.
