Power BI transforms your company's data into rich visuals for you to collect and organize so you can focus on what matters to you. When paired with CData Connect AI, you get access to Phoenix data for visualizations, dashboards, and more. This article shows how to use CData Connect to create a live connection to Phoenix, connect to Phoenix data from Power BI and then create reports on Phoenix data in Power BI.
Connectivity to Phoenix from Power BI is made possible through CData Connect AI. To work with Phoenix data from Power BI, we start by creating and configuring a Phoenix connection.
Connect to Apache Phoenix via the Phoenix Query Server. Set the Server and Port (if different from the default port) properties to connect to Apache Phoenix. The Server property will typically be the host name or IP address of the server hosting Apache Phoenix.
By default, no authentication will be used (plain). If authentication is configured for your server, set AuthScheme to NEGOTIATE and set the User and Password properties (if necessary) to authenticate through Kerberos.

With the connection configured, you are ready to connect to Phoenix data from Power BI.
Follow the steps below to build a query to pull Phoenix data into the report:
After connecting to the data into Power BI, you can create data visualizations in the Report view by dragging fields from the Fields pane onto the canvas. Select the dimensions and measures you wish to visualize along with the chart type.
