The CData ODBC Driver for Pushbullet enables access to live data from Pushbullet under the ODBC standard, allowing you work with Pushbullet data in a wide variety of BI, reporting, and ETL tools and directly, using familiar SQL queries. This article shows how to connect to Pushbullet data as a generic ODBC Data Provider and create charts, reports, and dashboards based on Pushbullet data in Dundas BI.
Pushbullet uses token-based authentication (Access Token). To obtain an Access Token:
After obtaining your Access Token, set the following connection properties:
Profile=C:\profiles\Pushbullet.apip;ProfileSettings='APIKey=your_access_token;';AuthScheme=APIKey;
Once the authentication is configured, you can connect to Pushbullet and query data from any of the available tables such as Users, Pushes, Devices, Chats, Subscriptions, and Channels.
When you configure the DSN, you may also want to set the Max Rows connection property. This will limit the number of rows returned, which is especially helpful for improving performance when designing reports and visualizations.
You are now ready to create a dashboard with Pushbullet data.
