SQL Server databases are commonly used to store enterprise records. It is often necessary to move this data to other locations. The CData SSIS Task for Reckon allows you to easily transfer Reckon data. In this article you will export data from SQL Server to Reckon.
To get started, add a new ADO.NET Source control and a new Reckon Destination control to the data flow task.
π The source and destination components used in this example.Follow the steps below to specify properties required to connect to the SQL Server instance.
Follow the steps below to set required connection properties in the Connection Manager.
When you are connecting to a local Reckon instance, you do not need to set any connection properties.
Requests to Reckon are made through the Remote Connector. The Remote Connector runs on the same machine as Reckon and accepts connections through a lightweight, embedded Web server. The server supports SSL/TLS, enabling users to connect securely from remote machines.
The first time you connect to your company file, authorize the Remote Connector with Reckon. See the "Getting Started" chapter of the help documentation for a guide.
In the destination component Connection Manager, define mappings from the SQL Server source table into the Reckon destination table and the action you want to perform on the Reckon data. In this article, you will insert Customers entities to Reckon.
You can now run the project. After the SSIS Task has finished executing, data from your SQL table will be exported to the chosen table.
