The CData Excel Add-In for Salesloft provides formulas that can edit, save, and delete Salesloft data. The following three steps show how you can automate the following task: Search Salesloft data for a user-specified value and then organize the results into an Excel spreadsheet.
The syntax of the CDATAQUERY formula is the following:
=CDATAQUERY(Query, [Connection], [Parameters], [ResultLocation]);
This formula requires three inputs:
Connection: Either the connection name, such as SalesLoftConnection1, or a connection string. The connection string consists of the required properties for connecting to Salesloft data, separated by semicolons.
SalesLoft authenticates using the OAuth authentication standard or an API Key. OAuth requires the authenticating user to interact with SalesLoft using the browser.Alternatively, you can authenticate with an APIKey. Provision an API key from the SalesLoft user interface: https://accounts.salesloft.com/oauth/applications/. You will receive a Key which will be used when issuing requests.
The procedure below results in a spreadsheet that organizes all the formula inputs in the first column.
=CDATAQUERY("SELECT * FROM Accounts WHERE Country = '"&B6&"'","AuthScheme="&B1&";OAuthClientId="&B2&";OAuthClientSecret="&B3&";CallbackUrl="&B4&";InitiateOAuth="&B5&";Provider=SalesLoft",B7)
