Connect to SAP Business One Data in Ruby

The CData ODBC Driver for SAP Business One makes it easy to integrate connectivity to live SAP Business One data in Ruby. This article shows how to create a simple Ruby app that connects to SAP Business One data, executes a query, and displays the results.

Create an ODBC Connection to SAP Business One Data

If you have not already, first specify connection properties in an ODBC DSN (data source name). This is the last step of the driver installation. You can use the Microsoft ODBC Data Source Administrator to create and configure ODBC DSNs.

Installing Ruby and Necessary Gems

Create a Ruby App with Connectivity to SAP Business One Data

Create a new Ruby file (for example: SAPBusinessOneSelect.rb) and open it in a text editor. Copy the following code into your file:
