The CData Excel Add-In for SAS xpt provides formulas that can query SAS xpt data. The following three steps show how you can automate the following task: Search SAS xpt data for a user-specified value and then organize the results into an Excel spreadsheet.
The syntax of the CDATAQUERY formula is the following:
=CDATAQUERY(Query, [Connection], [Parameters], [ResultLocation]);
This formula requires three inputs:
Connection: Either the connection name, such as SASXptConnection1, or a connection string. The connection string consists of the required properties for connecting to SAS xpt data, separated by semicolons.
You can connect to local SASXpt file by setting the URI to a folder containing SASXpt files.
You can connect to Amazon S3 source to read SASXpt files. Set the following properties to connect:
