The CData JDBC Driver for SingleStore fully implements the JDBC standard and can provide SingleStore data connectivity to a wide variety of BI, reporting, and ETL tools and custom applications. In this article, we explain how to set SingleStore data as JDBC data source in FineReport and view SingleStore data as a table in the Report Designer.
Follow the instruction below to set SingleStore data as a FineReport database connection.
Next we will set up the data connection definition in the window.
The following connection properties are required in order to connect to data.
To authenticate using standard authentication, set the following:
As an alternative to providing the standard username and password, you can set IntegratedSecurity to True to authenticate trusted users to the server via Windows Authentication.
You can leverage SSL authentication to connect to SingleStore data via a secure session. Configure the following connection properties to connect to data:
Using SSH, you can securely login to a remote machine. To access SingleStore data via SSH, configure the following connection properties:
For assistance in constructing the JDBC URL, use the connection string designer built into the SingleStore JDBC Driver. Either double-click the JAR file or execute the jar file from the command-line.
java -jar cdata.jdbc.singlestore.jar
Fill in the connection properties and copy the connection string to the clipboard.
π Using the built-in connection string designer to generate a JDBC URL (Salesforce is shown.)When you configure the JDBC URL, you may also want to set the Max Rows connection property. This will limit the number of rows returned, which is especially helpful for improving performance when designing reports and visualizations.
A typical JDBC URL is below:
jdbc:singlestore:User=myUser;Password=myPassword;Database=NorthWind;Server=myServer;Port=3306;
Click Test connection to ensure you have configured the connection properly. With the connection to SingleStore set up, you can use it as FineReport data source.
With these simple steps, SingleStore can be used as a JDBC data source in FineReport.
