Zapier is an online automation tool that connects your apps and services. When paired with CData Connect AI, you get access to live Splunk data for your workflows. This article shows how to connect to Splunk and build workflows with live Splunk data in Zapier.
Connect to Splunk from Zapier
To work with Splunk in Zapier, we need to connect to Splunk from Connect AI, provide user access to
the connection, and create a Workspace for the Splunk data.
Connect to Splunk from Connect AI
CData Connect AI uses a straightforward, point-and-click interface to connect to data sources.
-
Log into Connect AI, click Sources, and then click Add Connection

-
Enter the necessary authentication properties to connect to Splunk.
To authenticate requests, set the
, , and properties to valid Splunk credentials. The port on which the requests are made to Splunk is port 8089.
The data provider uses plain-text authentication by default, since the data provider attempts to negotiate TLS/SSL with the server.
If you need to manually configure TLS/SSL, see Getting Started -> Advanced Settings in the data provider help documentation.

Add a Personal Access Token

-
Click on the Gear icon () at the top right of the Connect AI app to open the settings page.
-
On the Settings page, go to the Access Tokens section and click Create PAT.
-
Give the PAT a name and click Create.

The personal access token is only visible at creation, so be sure to copy it and store it securely for future use.
