The CData JDBC Driver for Vercel fully implements the JDBC standard and can provide Vercel data connectivity to a wide variety of BI, reporting, and ETL tools and custom applications. In this article, we explain how to set Vercel data as JDBC data source in FineReport and view Vercel data as a table in the Report Designer.
Follow the instruction below to set Vercel data as a FineReport database connection.
Next we will set up the data connection definition in the window.
Vercel uses Bearer token authentication. You can use either a personal access token or an OAuth access token as the API key.
To obtain a personal access token:
After obtaining your token, set the following connection properties:
Profile=C:\profiles\Vercel.apip;AuthScheme=APIKey;APIKey=your_access_token;
Many Vercel resources are scoped to a team. To scope all requests to a specific team, set the TeamId connection property to your team's ID. You can find your team ID by querying the Teams table or from the Vercel dashboard. Alternatively, you can specify TeamId in your SQL queries using the WHERE clause where supported.
Once the authentication is configured, you can connect to Vercel and query data from any of the available tables such as Projects, Deployments, Teams, and Domains.
For assistance in constructing the JDBC URL, use the connection string designer built into the Vercel JDBC Driver. Either double-click the JAR file or execute the jar file from the command-line.
java -jar cdata.jdbc.api.jar
Fill in the connection properties and copy the connection string to the clipboard.
π Using the built-in connection string designer to generate a JDBC URL (Salesforce is shown.)When you configure the JDBC URL, you may also want to set the Max Rows connection property. This will limit the number of rows returned, which is especially helpful for improving performance when designing reports and visualizations.
A typical JDBC URL is below:
jdbc:api:Profile=C:\profiles\Vercel.apip;AuthScheme=APIKey;APIKey=your_access_token;
Click Test connection to ensure you have configured the connection properly. With the connection to Vercel set up, you can use it as FineReport data source.
With these simple steps, Vercel can be used as a JDBC data source in FineReport.
