The CData Excel Add-In for Zoho Creator provides formulas that can edit, save, and delete Zoho Creator data. The following three steps show how you can automate the following task: Search Zoho Creator data for a user-specified value and then organize the results into an Excel spreadsheet.
The syntax of the CDATAQUERY formula is the following:
=CDATAQUERY(Query, [Connection], [Parameters], [ResultLocation]);
This formula requires three inputs:
Connection: Either the connection name, such as ZohoCreatorConnection1, or a connection string. The connection string consists of the required properties for connecting to Zoho Creator data, separated by semicolons.
The connector is already registered with Zoho Creator as an OAuth application.
If you would prefer to use your own custom OAuth app, see the Help documentation.
The procedure below results in a spreadsheet that organizes all the formula inputs in the first column.
=CDATAQUERY("SELECT * FROM Leave_Types WHERE Leave_Type = '"&B3&"'","AccountsServer="&B1&";InitiateOAuth="&B2&";Provider=ZohoCreator",B4)
