The CData Excel Add-In for Zoho CRM provides formulas that can edit, save, and delete Zoho CRM data. The following three steps show how you can automate the following task: Search Zoho CRM data for a user-specified value and then organize the results into an Excel spreadsheet.
The syntax of the CDATAQUERY formula is the following:
=CDATAQUERY(Query, [Connection], [Parameters], [ResultLocation]);
This formula requires three inputs:
Connection: Either the connection name, such as ZohoCRMConnection1, or a connection string. The connection string consists of the required properties for connecting to Zoho CRM data, separated by semicolons.
The connector is already registered with Zoho CRM as an OAuth application. As such, OAuth Credentials are embedded by default. If you would prefer to use your own custom OAuth app, see the Custom Credentials section in the Help documentation.
The procedure below results in a spreadsheet that organizes all the formula inputs in the first column.
=CDATAQUERY("SELECT * FROM Accounts WHERE Industry = '"&B2&"'","InitiateOAuth="&B1&";Provider=ZohoCRM",B3)
