It did a great job covering all of the aspects of event planning, in concise detail. I would love small follow up courses that cover each area with a little more insight.

Frequently asked questions

In this course, the event planning process is the structured way of turning an event idea into a well-run attendee experience. The focus is on connected decisions around objectives, venue, logistics, marketing, budgeting, and follow-up rather than treating each task separately.

You would use an event planning process whenever an event needs clear structure instead of last-minute decisions or disconnected tasks. The course shows how it helps when audience needs, budget, logistics, promotion, and customer experience all need to work together.

Event planning sits between the initial idea for an event and the final review of how it went. In this course, it links goal setting with venue selection, logistics, vendor coordination, marketing, and post-event feedback.

Day-of event coordination is mainly about keeping the event running in the moment, while event planning covers the full cycle before, during, and after the event. This course treats coordination as one part of a broader process that also includes objectives, budgeting, venue choice, marketing, and post-event review.

No prior event management experience is required for this beginner course. What matters more is being ready to organize information, think through event goals, and pay attention to attendee needs and communication.

There is no single required software platform; the course focuses on practical event-planning methods. You work with approaches such as event life cycle planning, budgeting and scheduling, venue and vendor evaluation, logistics coordination, and marketing through channels like social media and email.

You'll practice defining event objectives, building budgets and timelines, evaluating venues, coordinating vendors and logistics, and planning promotion and follow-up. Together, those tasks show how the course approaches event planning as one connected process rather than separate steps.
