Applicants must have completed their engineering degree (BE/B.Tech) within the usual course duration as defined by their university. Final-year students graduating in the 2024–25 academic year can also apply, as long as they receive their degree by August 31, 2025, and score a minimum of 65% marks or a CGPA of 6.84 out of 10 (calculated as an average of all available semesters).
ISRO also accepts applications from candidates with allied engineering disciplines, as long as they are relevant to the mentioned streams. If your university provides both CGPA and percentage, you only need to meet the eligibility in either one.
The upper age limit is 28 years as on June 16, 2025. However, candidates belonging to certain categories—Central Government employees, ex-servicemen, and individuals with benchmark disabilities (PwBD)—may be eligible for age relaxation, as per government rules.
If you’re currently working in a government job, PSU, or autonomous body, you must apply with prior approval from your employer. You will need to provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview or when asked.
Even if your job status changes after you’ve applied, you’re still required to inform your new employer about your application and submit the NOC later. Candidates who fail to provide the original NOC won’t be allowed to attend the interview, and no travel allowance (TA) will be paid in such cases.
ISRO uses a two-stage selection process:
