Virtusa Interview Experience 2023 (On-Campus)

In July 2022, Virtusa conducted an On-Campus recruitment drive for our college. The recruitment drive aimed to hire for two roles.

• Regular Coder ( CTC- 5 LPA + 50k bunus for certification)
• Power Coder ( CTC- 6.6 LPA + 50k bunus for certification)

Recruitment Process:

The recruitment process consisted of three rounds:

• Aptitude Round
• Technical Interview
• HR Interview

Aptitude Round

• Duration for the assesment was 180 minutes.
• The assessment includes questions covering various categories such as Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal, Communication, Programming Logic, and Coding.
• There are 4 coding questions for the Regular Coder role and an additional 3 coding questions for the Power Coder role.

I was able to solve all MCQ's, 3 coding questions (from regular coder section) and 1 coding questions (from power coder section).

just the day after the online test (aptitude round), I received an email from our college Training and Placement Officer informing me of my selection for the Regular Coder role. The email also mentioned that my interview was scheduled five days later.

Total candidate applied for Aptitude Round were 175 and only 33 candidates were shortlisted for further rounds.

Technical Interview

During the Technical Interview, First interviewer asked me to introduce myself. Then I was asked about my preferred programming language, so i replied Python. They also inquired about the programming languages I had encountered during my Computer Science course. After this, the interviewer began asking me a series of questions which are listed below: ( The interview lasted for 20 minutes )

1. Why you prefer python?
2. Explain the use of decorators in Python.
3. Explain the process of exception handling in Python?
4. Difference between C++ and Python.
5. Explain the concept of object-oriented programming (OOP)?
6. How does OOP differ from procedural programming?
7. What is polymorphism and its types.
8. What is a data structure and name some data structures you know.
9. What is Linked list and its types.
10. Asked me to write code to reverse the string.
11. At the end he asked, Do you have any questions?

After technical round they selected 10 candidates out of 33 for next round.

HR Interview

1. Have you done any internships?
2. Are you ready to work on any technology?
3. Are you ready to relocate?
4. Are you ready to sign an agreement (2 years bond)?
5. Why do you want to join Virtusa?

Later that night, I received an email from the college TPO confirming my selection.
