Gongs[1] appear in Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury as strikable objects held by two ropes and depicting Bowser's emblem in the center. They can be activated by rolling into them, using a Boomerang Flower to throw a boomerang at them, throwing a baseball at them, using a cat swipe or tail whip, or using the touchscreen or touch cursor. When a gong is hit, any Blurkers surrounding it are temporarily incapacitated.
There are four gongs in Hands-On Hall and six in Back to Hands-On Hall, for a total of ten gongs.
Hitting a gong enough times causes a Pixel Luigi to fall from the ceiling.
