The Mega Kantera is a gigantic Lantern Ghost and an enemy that appears in Yoshi's New Island. Only one Mega Kantera appears in the entire game, in Bandit Valley with a Tetu Kantera. Touching the Mega Kantera from the side causes Yoshi to lose Baby Mario, and if Yoshi jumps on the Mega Kantera, he bounces off. The Mega Kantera can be defeated by using a Metal Eggdozer produced from the nearby Tetu Kantera or by being swallowed to become a Mega Eggdozer, like with a Mega Guy.
