The Morph Court is a type of court in the Mario Tennis series. It is known for having its surface change into various other court surfaces during play, with its ball speed and bounce strength determined by the current layout of the court.
The Morph Court first appears as one of the two surfaces for the Galaxy Arena court in Mario Tennis Open. It is unlocked by beating the Final Cup. When a player executes a Chance Shot, their opponent's side of the court changes into a different surface, resetting their own side back to normal if it has previously changed. The next court is depicted in an icon on the left side of the screen.
The Morph Court returns as the last unlockable court in Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash. It can transform into every court in the game except for the Ice Court and the Rebound Court. Players can again change their opponents' section of court by using Chance Shots, or by using (Ultra) Smashes and having the affected ball bounce on their side of the court. The next court is depicted in an icon on the right side of the screen. The court layouts rotate; when the final version is reached, it resets to the first one and continues.
The court remains the same even when the players change sides of the court, which means the players swap which field they have.
