Philipsburg, Montana...relatively small area on the
western slopes of the Flint Creek Range. The first discovery
occurred in 1864 with...location of the Cordaba claim, later
renamed the Hope mine (Albright, 2005). Silver was the primary
metal produced...also recovered from the district ores.
The Flint Creek Range was created by several of granitic
