| indices tend to have good lustre, e.g. diamond, zircon,
sphene. Needless to say, a high refractive index...doubly refracting stones have good
lustres (sphene, zircon). If there were any correspondence, however, hambergite...and physical properties, but yet with a polished zircon
one does get the feeling that the surface looks...support from the experience of
lapidaries who find zircon a difficult stone to polish. Since a poor
polish...inferred that on this theory the greasy
lustre of zircon is due to a combination of poor polish on a substance |
