The species was chosen because...dominant member of the family, the antimony-analog
pyrargyrite, is similarly sought, yet offers collectors somewhat...importance as an ore mineral of silver, well-crystallized specimens of pyrargyrite have
been recovered from...Mexico and, to a lesser
extent, Peru.

quently, this much-revered mineral... pyragyrite
(Ag SbS ), are commonly called the "ruby silvers." They do

pseudomorphs after argentite, silver, and stephanite have been
reported.
