Biography

Cyclist Miloslav Loos represented Czechoslovakia in the road race at the 1936 Berlin Olympics where he finished the course, but his time was not recorded. One year later Loos had the best result of his career when he became the national road race champion. He followed that up by becoming the Czechoslovak cyclo-cross champion in 1940. Loos then trained as a typographer, opening his own printing house in 1947. He made a brief return to cycling competing in the 1948 Peace Race, placing eighth. Before his death at the age of 96 in March 2010, Loos was the oldest living Czech Olympian.
